My beloved Cubbies, that I can no longer watch without a profound sense of hollow loss for many years now, are in the World Series, that I can also no longer watch for said reason. When they were behind the Indians in games, I was afraid it was over, yet, yesterday morning, couldn’t help myself, just like I said if Hillary Clinton wore a white pantsuit to the debate she would lose the election…I said: If the Cubbies win tonight and force a game 7, they will win the World Series. So, there I’ve said it. I feel the outcome is already decided. God bless Harry Caray, Steve Stone, S. Dunstan; Zimmer; Mark Grace; Harry’s wife Dutchie (who shared my birthday) and the Seventh Inning Stretch. It’s Back to the Future, isn’t it?
